Tag As FavoriteComment		I know, he doesn't look like your typical fire dragon - rather cute, in fact. He's a retiring type, rather shy and socially inept, which isn't helped by his uncontrollable tendency to set light to the carpet when embarrassed. As you can imagine, this little problem is a bit of a vicious spiral and leads to very few party invites.

Drawn when I was experimenting with different types of dragon wing - these have quills which act like the battens of a sail to stop the wing collapsing during a steep glide or dive. The leading edge is sheathed in feathery scales which give it a better profile. I don't know what the winglets on his legs are for - steering maybe?

Felt tip pen on miscellaneous paper.
